The University Gazette, which has been published continuously since 1870, is the authorised journal of record of the University of Oxford. The Gazette is published weekly throughout the academic year except during vacations.

Publication dates and deadlines
The Gazette is published on Thursdays during term. The usual deadline for submitting copy for each issue is noon on Wednesday of the week before publication (ie eight days before publication).

Gazette publication arrangements
The final Gazettes of Michaelmas term will be published on 3 and 10 December.
The first Gazette of Hilary term will be published on 14 January, and will contain the termly lecture supplement. The deadline for submitting items for that issue, including lectures for the supplement, is noon on 6 January.
