This video is for all authorised Oxford admissions test centres with students who need to register to take any of the following admissions tests as part of their application: The Classics Admissions Test, the CAT; The English Literature Admissions Test, the ELAT; The Geography Admissions Test, the GAT; the History Admissions Test, the Hat; the Mathematics Admissions Test, the MAT; the Modern Languages Test, the MLAT; the Physics Admissions Test, the PAT (for Physics, Engineering Science and Materials Science) and the Philosophy Test, which is only for Philosophy and Theology. Here we will explain how authorised test centres can register one or more candidates for their Oxford admissions tests, as well as request access arrangements: for example additional time. If you are not already an authorised test centre and would like to become one before the 15th of September deadline, go now to admissionstesting.ox.ac.uk. The window for candidate registration for our tests is the 1st to the 29th of September. We strongly recommend registering your candidates as soon as possible after the 1st of September. Once done, the candidate will receive direct notification of their registration, together with test instructions and guidance on preparation. During the registration window, when logged into the registration portal, centres will be able to view and edit their candidate registrations at any time, including amending access arrangements. Candidates will be told how best to prepare for their tests using the resources on our website, as well as how to access an online practice test. All candidates should do the relevant online practice test. This will allow them to try out the test platform, including accessibility features, so when taking their test they can focus fully on the content of their answers. Doing some of the additional past papers available on our website will further familiarise your candidates with the structure and content of their test and show them how to manage their time. We recommend that all those taking our fully digital tests, so not the hybrid MAT or PAT, practise typing their answers when having a go at past papers. To register one or more students go to admissionstesting.ox.ac.uk. Click on register candidates at the bottom of the screen. This red button will be enabled from the 1st of September until the 29th of September. If you are registering 10 or more candidates, we recommend you do this by downloading the multiple candidates template available, however if any of your candidates require access arrangements or are taking the Mathematics Admissions Test to support an application to Imperial College or Warwick University, then we would suggest that you register them individually. To register candidates one at a time, enter their details as requested. Please ensure you use the same email address they provided on their UCAS application. To select the course, type either the course name or the course code into the search. The relevant test or, in a few cases, tests will be auto-populated upon the selection of the course. You must also enter the candidate's UCAS ID. This 10-digit number will have been given to them when they opened their UCAS application. If the candidate is not applying to Oxford, and is taking the Mathematics Admissions Test to support an application to Imperial or Warwick, you can leave this field empty. To request access arrangements for a candidate, make the required selections from the drop down lists available. Please note, your centre must hold the appropriate evidence supporting this request and be able to provide this to TCS and Oxford, if requested. If you know that the candidate will be using their own device to sit the tests, you must indicate this on the registration form. Your test centre must download and share the guidelines for bringing your own device document with the candidate and make sure the candidate agrees to comply with these guidelines. These include information on the technical specifications required. Once you have completed all the necessary steps, click on register now. The registered candidate will be sent an automated email notification confirming their registration and providing them with the credentials to log into the testing platform. When logged into the registration portal, centres can view or edit the entries for candidates registered by clicking on 'Registered Candidates' at the top of the screen. If at any time you are unclear on what to do next, then please email oxford.testcentresupport@tcs.com. For all information and guidance on Oxford's admissions tests, go to ox.ac.uk/tests.
