How much does the conference cost?
The conference is free to all attendees, both staff and students.
What activities will be available at the conference?
Attendees are able to join live, online Q&A sessions with current undergraduate students and academic staff. Attendees can also access various pre-recorded online sessions about a wide variety of subjects, the application process and student life.
I’m currently in Year 11. Can I attend?
The conference is aimed at Year 12 students who have already completed their GCSEs (or equivalent) and may be considering making an application in the next academic year. As our admissions information can vary from year to year, we encourage younger students to wait until they are in Year 12 (or equivalent) before attending our conference.
I have a disability. Is there anything in particular I need to know?
If you’ve indicated on your booking form that you have a disability (this could include physical disability, specific learning difficulty, long-term health condition, or mental health condition) or other additional requirement(s), we’ll contact you directly about any arrangements to be made.

Opportunity Oxford is an academic programme which helps support UK offer-holders from underrepresented backgrounds in preparing for undergraduate study at university so they can really enjoy their studies and life as a student.

If you’re made an offer with a place on the Opportunity Oxford programme, you’ll explore and develop academic skills that will help with your studies, ensuring you are fully prepared to thrive from day one at Oxford. It also offers a supportive induction and insight into life as an Oxford student, helping you to feel confident and ready to embrace university studies.
The programme includes a combination of virtual events, an online academic course supported by tutors, and a two-week residential just before the start of your university course. The programme is also supported by a team of current undergraduate students who’ll be on hand to offer guidance, support and advice on how to make the most of your student experience.

ASTROPHORIA FOUNDATION YEAR
Oxford University is committed to improving opportunities for talented students from all backgrounds. Oxford's Astrophoria Foundation Year is one programme in our range of initiatives aimed at increasing access to Oxford for students from under-represented backgrounds.
Oxford’s Astrophoria Foundation Year is a one-year foundation programme for UK state school students. It is aimed at those with significant academic potential, who have experienced severe personal disadvantage or disrupted education which has resulted in them being unable to apply directly for an Oxford undergraduate degree programme.
It will enable motivated students to reach their academic potential through a supportive and challenging academic course aimed at developing their skills, self-belief and academic confidence.
