Professor Quentin Sattentau
Professor of Immunology, Sir William Dunn School of Pathology; Fellow of Magdalen College
About
Professor Sattentau studies the interaction of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) with its cellular targets, with the aim of understanding how this works and so being able to interfere with it. His research group works on the molecular and cellular mechanisms of viral spread, pathogenesis and immune evasion. They also work on HIV vaccine design, a particularly tough problem, and on the mechanisms of peanut allergy.
