Research Associate and Academic Coordinator, School of Anthropology & Museum Ethnography


Dr Morley's research interests focus particularly on the Palaeolithic archaeology and evolutionary origins of musical, ritual and religious behaviours. He has also excavated at prehistoric and classical archaeology sites in Britain, Croatia, Czechia, Libya, Italy and Greece.

Media experience

Dr Morley has experience of broadcast interviews and has taken part in a BBC Radio 4 series on the origins of music and a TV documentary on the origins of music. He has reviewed for The Times Literary Supplement, and provided background briefing for several BBC researchers.
