Dr Alex Paseau

Associate Professor in Philosophy; Fellow of Wadham College


Professor Paseau's research ranges widely over mathematical philosophy. He has published on topics in philosophy of mathematics, philosophy of logic, mathematical logic, philosophical logic, formal epistemology and formal metaphysics. He is currently working on several papers in these areas and on three books: an anthology of articles in the philosophy of mathematics to be published by Routledge in 2016; a research monograph on non-deductive reasoning in mathematics; and an advanced introduction to the philosophy of mathematics with the title What is a Number?
