Edmund de Waal OBE
Artist and Author

St Peter's College is delighted to welcome award-winning artist and author Edmund de Waal OBE.

Known for his large scale installations of porcelain vessels, his work is often created in response to collections, archives or the history of a particular place. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in 1996.

De Waal is also the acclaimed author of several books including The White Road (2015). His award-winning book The Hare with Amber Eyes: a hidden inheritance (2010) chronicles the history of the Ephrussis, a Russian Jewish banking dynasty and the family of his paternal grandmother.

The event will be convened by Mark Damazer CBE, Master of St Peter’s College.
