Hertford College is delighted to invite you to the John Donne Lecture 2020.

Dame Jocelyn Bell Burnell will deliver the lecture on Friday 24 April in the Sheldonian Theatre from 5pm.

Bell Burnell is an astrophysicist, best known for her discovery of pulsars while still a graduate student at the University of Cambridge. She is a role model for young students and female scientists, being awarded a CBE for services to astronomy in 1999, followed by a DBE in 2007. She has also been featured on BBC Four’s Beautiful Minds, and BBC Two’s Horizon.
