Outstanding oboist James Turnbull joins forces with Royal Philharmonic Society award-winning pianist Clare Hammond in a programme which brings together a trio of beautiful French sonatas by Saint-Saëns, Poulenc and Dutilleux, with music by three composers with strong Oxford connections: Robert Saxton, Thomas Hyde and RPS composition prize-winner, Ninfea Cruttwell-Reade, whose work Ravens' Cage was premiered at the 2016 Presteigne Festival.

N.B Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, Emily Pailthorpe is unable to perform. However, we are delighted that James Turnbull will be performing on this occasion instead.

Camille Saint-Saëns Oboe Sonata in D op. 166
Thomas Hyde Winter Music
Robert Saxton Chacony for piano left hand
Francis Poulenc Oboe Sonata FP185
