Accurate and timely economics forecasts are crucial for policy analysis. In this roundtable, speakers from Xiamen University and the Xinhua News Agency will discuss with experts from Oxford and SOAS, the key reports, surveys and models used for short- and long-term forecasting of China’s economic growth and other major macroeconomic variables. The presentations will illustrate how these tools can be used for policy simulation and for measuring the effectiveness of fiscal, monetary, employment and industrial policies in China.

The event will be followed by a networking reception.
