In August 2016 Chaz Powell set out on a daunting 3000km solo hike, following the Zambezi river from its source all the way to the Indian Ocean. Over 137 days, unsupported and alone, he completed the entire journey on foot. During this time he encountered a host of both physical and mental challenges, from crocodiles and venomous snakes to intense heat and harsh terrains. He was the first person to successfully complete the entire length of the Zambezi.

Chaz Powell has spent 8 years backpacking the world, living the van life for 2 and is a qualified Expedition and Mountain Leader. He has also set himself other travel challenges, such as using a £100 budget to get to the northernmost point of Europe to film the Northern Lights and walking the length of La Palma (the Canaries).

£3 entry or free to members. Membership can be bought on the night. Event and membership open to all.
