Studying Further Maths A-level, but not sure what you want to do at University? Enjoy maths, but want to know a bit more about other Maths–related degree subjects that don't appear on the school curriculum? This event is suitable for Year 12 students studying Further Maths and expecting to achieve at least AAA. The day will showcase the variety of science subjects available at Oxford for those with Maths qualifications. Please note that this is a day for students undecided about their choice of degree. If students already know what subject they want to study at university, this isn’t the event for them. Max five places per school.
When: Wednesday 13 March 2019. Start time: 09:45. End of main programme: 16.00. End time for those taking part in the post-event, optional, college tour: about 17:15.
Who: Year 12s. We will prioritise state schools for places, but accommodate those at independent schools should we have space.
Requirements: Studying Further Maths, expecting AAA. (Physics and or Chemistry also useful.)
Where: Mathematical Institute
Bookings: Booking requests will open on 1 February 2019, and will close on 11 February (12 noon), or earlier if the event is full. Those who have requested a place will receive notification of whether we can accommodate you, in the week after we have closed registrations. Once sign-up is open: students and teachers will need to book individually using the booking request form.
