Continuing Education: Humanities

The Department for Continuing Education offers a range of part-time graduate courses in the humanities designed to meet the interests and circumstances of adult learners. As well as courses in history, art history, architectural history and creative writing, these include the innovative multi-disciplinary MSt in Literature and Arts.

Drawing on the expertise and experience of senior humanities academics in the Department for Continuing Education and across the University, these courses are offered in modes designed to allow effective study on a part-time basis. Students will be part of a lively Graduate School community in the Department for Continuing Education, their own particular studies being supplemented by broader inter-disciplinary research seminars, training opportunities and social events.

Success in part-time master’s studies can prepare students for undertaking a DPhil.
