How to apply

Applications for most posts must be made via the e-Recruitment system.  However, for some posts a different approach is required.

  • For on-line applications there will be an Apply Now button (full details are given below).
  • Otherwise, you will be requested either to click on a further particulars link or a link to the recruiting department, with full details of the subsequent steps to take contained within the advertisement.

The approach you should follow will be made clear within each advertisement.

University Administrative Services (UAS) pilot

Certain UAS departments are piloting a new Supporting Evidence form in place of the supporting statement. The Supporting Evidence form is intended to clarify the level of detail required in order to help you demonstrate your skills and experience to the recruitment panel.  If the post you are applying for requires you to use this new form this will be clearly explained in the Job Description and Selection Criteria document associated with the post and it is very important that you read this before applying. 

On-line applications

If you consider that you meet the selection criteria, click on the Apply Now button on the ‘Job Details’ page and follow the on-screen instructions to register as a user. You will then be required to complete a number of screens with your application details, relating to your skills and experience. When prompted, please provide details of two referees and indicate whether we can contact them at this stage. You will also be required to upload a CV and a supporting statement (or, for roles involved in the UAS pilot, a Supporting Evidence form see above for further information). The supporting statement (or Supporting Evidence form) should demonstrate how you meet the selection criteria outlined above. Please save all uploaded documents to show your name and the document type.

All applications must be received by midday on the closing date stated in the online advertisement.
