Project Team

Effective planning of your Project Team will ensure that whatever time or money is invested will not be wasted. Depending on the size of your project, you may need to have a two-tier team with a high-level steering group to inform decision making, and a hands-on group to carry out the work.

Here are some of the roles/skills that you may want to consider when creating your team: 

  • Project Manager - responsible for keeping an overall view of the project and ensuring that it is ready on time and to budget.
  • I.T. Team - may include Programmers and Server Technicians.
  • Design Team - Graphics Designers to create images, banners and multimedia components such as video etc.
  • Web Editors - responsible for writing, organising, proof reading and setting the tone of content. They may also need some knowledge of HTML and CMS (Content Management Systems).
  • Marketing Team - for market research, competitor analysis, SEO (search engine optimisation) and marketing of the site once it is live.
  • Testing Group - ideally this should consist of people from your target audience who can check to see if the website caters to their needs.
