Concerts

The Sheldonian Theatre is available for concert hire by regional, national and international concert promoters. Located centrally in Oxford, the Theatre accommodates up to 950 guests. Due to its unique design, the audience is seated closely to the concert performance area creating an intimacy in elegant and refined surroundings, enjoying good natural acoustics.

The Sheldonian Theatre has been sympathetically refurbished in recent years in order to return the venue to Sir Christopher Wren's original colour scheme. A range of PA and lighting equipment is available.

The Theatre can be hired throughout the year. Availability may be limited at certain times, so it is advisable to contact the Events team to discuss your requirements.
