Constantine Louloudis is a second year Classics undergraduate at Trinity and is hoping to compete for Great Britain in the rowing at London 2012
I first got involved in rowing when I was 14, as an alternative to cricket. I was a terrible cricketer!
I've been invited to train with the national team full time next year following good performances in the trials process.
I'll need to take a year out of University to train full-time and find somewhere to live near Reading, where the training centre is.
We generally train three times per day (typically two rowing sessions and one weights session) for at least six days per week. This is either at the national team facility at Caversham near Reading, or abroad at a camp.
Combining sport and work was a challenge before the Boat Race in March, but now that I'm taking a year out I can focus more fully on training.
Since watching Beijing 2008 I began to aspire to take part in the Olympics but only in the past year has 2012 become a realistic ambition.
