Mumps health advice
Over the past few years, there have been seasonal incidences of mumps. In any such case the network of college nurses and doctors will work in partnership with Public Health England to take all the appropriate measures. If you think you might have mumps-like symptoms, you should stay in your room or at home and phone your college doctor, nurse or GP for advice. Students who have not had the two MMR vaccinations should contact their GP to arrange to be vaccinated. If you are due to sit exams and are unwell please consult your college in the first instance. For guidance on illness during exams, refer to the Examination Regulations. More information about mumps is available from the Health and Welfare section of the Student Gateway.
Volunteer through Oxford Hub
Oxford Hub, Oxford's student volunteering centre, has a range of projects designed for and run by student volunteers. Opportunities vary from getting involved in local schools, working with the elderly, homeless or migrant groups, to managing a community allotment or running a student food co-operative. Whether you just want to try something new for an hour a week, or you're up to the challenge of leading a project to address a pressing local need, there's something for you.
Through the Ethical Network you can also see all of the ethical student societies active in Oxford, including International Rights and Development groups and Environmental campaigns, as well as plenty of groups making local social change.
For more information email the Oxford support officer or visit the Oxford Hub website.
Careers Fairs held in Asia in September 2013

The fairs will be attended by a variety of employers from different employment sectors, and are a unique way for students to meet western multi-nationals and local organisations who are recruiting into the region.
