If you would like to have your essay or thesis chapter submitted to Turnitin (plagiarism software) to check for any text that matches with other electronic sources, please speak to your tutor or supervisor. They will mentor you in interpreting the Turnitin Originality Report.
A Plagiarism support site is available in WebLearn providing information, links to online tutorials and videos, and other useful resources about plagiarism and how to avoid it. IT Services offers a free course for students once per term: Plagiarism – How to avoid it (for students). You can either register to attend the course at IT Services, or speak to your tutor or supervisor if you would like them to organise the course in your department or college (minimum 10 students).
