Online learning

There are a host of online tools on offer at Oxford to help you learn, share files and connect with your tutor. Take the time to see how our online learning resources can help you.

Weblearn

WebLearn is the University's web-based virtual learning environment (VLE).

The site holds course-specific resources including: announcements, handouts, reading lists linked to the library catalogue, discussion forums, electronic pigeonholes with plagiarism detection, wikis, opinion polls, tutorial sign-up, course events schedule, formative assessment and more.

Finding content

  • Your tutor will provide you with a link or advise you where to find your course material, or you can browse the system in your own time.
  • Open access areas are available to everyone; log in with your Oxford username to access restricted areas
  • All students also have access to a personal dashboard called 'My Workspace' where all announcements and events are displayed. My workspace contains a wiki and an online file-store.
