Disability Hate Crime was legislated for in England and Wales in 2003. Sixteen years later too many disabled people are still being denied justice. Why is this so? What can be done?
This seminar will explore the challenges in addressing Disability Hate Crime. It will interrogate the construction of disabled people as 'vulnerable' and it will identify legal policy changes that might better deliver justice for disabled people
