Research degree stages
This section of the Student Gateway describes the purpose and processes for key stages that you must pass through during your research course.
Depending on the type and structure of your research course, these will include transfer, confirmation and submission. Slightly different processes will apply for students who have been readmitted after a taught Masters course. The pages also explain the processes for suspension of status, extension of time, withdrawal, lapsing, and reinstatement.
