FAQs

I can’t find a course but I know it is running.

Not every training provider is using the course booking system at the moment. Numbers will increase over time. If you know who is running the course you are looking for, go to their website and access their training from there.

I can’t attend my course. What do I do?

Please cancel your place as soon as possible to give someone else the chance of taking your place. You can cancel your course either by visiting the course booking system dashboard, going to the ‘My Courses’ box and cancelling the course there, or by contacting the training provider directly.

In order to ensure a fair system, please do not send someone to a course in your place, as there may be others waiting to attend in the event of a cancellation.

I’m not a member of Oxford University, I want to book onto a course but I don’t have a log in or password for the new system.

The course booking system is only available to people who have Oxford University Single Sign On details. Please contact the training provider directly to ask about how you can book onto their courses. Not all training courses are available to external members of the university.

Can I access Lynda.com courses through course booking system?

No. You can browse the courses on offer at courses.it.ox.ac.uk/lynda. Access is via your Oxford single sign-on.

If you are not a member of Oxford University but you are:

  • a student from another university on a jointly-run course with Oxford/ Research Council
  • a member of the NHS on a Student Welfare course
  • an alumnus

and want to book onto a course but don’t have a log in or password for the new system, please visit the training provider’s website for further information/enquiries.
