7. Rhodes House
The door from Milner Hall to the garden at Rhodes House. The door, like the rest of the building, was designed by Sir Herbert Baker, who drew on traditional English architecture in his design. Rhodes House, which opened in 1929, is the administrative headquarters of the Rhodes Trust and the Rhodes Scholarships. It also houses the Bodleian Library of Commonwealth and African Studies, which specialises in the history and current affairs of the Commonwealth and sub-Saharan Africa.
