24. Magdalen

The door of the Song School at Magdalen College. The School, which is located on the west side of the Cloister, is where the college choir practices. Directed by Daniel Hyde, who retains the ancient Latin title Informator Choristarum, the choir retains much the same shape as it had when it was founded in 1480, with 16 boy choristers (educated at Magdalen College School) and 12 adult Academical Clerks (undergraduates of the College).
