Friday 20 September will see very heavy traffic in and around Oxford as a result of the University open day and the start of the Alumni Weekend.

Around 10,000 visitors are expected and, as a result, the city’s transport network will be significantly stretched.

The University’s Undergraduate Admissions team has been working closely with the local councils and transport providers to try to minimise disruption to locals and commuters.

Additional buses will be put onto the Park & Ride services. However, the large number of additional visitors is likely to cause some delay so you may wish to allow a little extra time for your journey to work.
