The student statistics tables for 2009-10 are now available. The figures show that 20,927 students were enrolled at the University as of 1 December 2009. This represents a 2.9% increase since 2008.

More detailed tables can be found on the Student Data Management and Analysis website. Data is available in the following categories:

• Gender and programme of study
• College, programme type and gender
• Fee status, programme type and division
• Domicile, programme type and division
• Nationality, programme type and division

The statistics provide an annual overview of the student population. They also form the basis of the Higher Education Students Early Statistics Survey (HESES) return and the Student Number Planning Exercise, but with some small criteria differences.
