Introducing Advanced Research Computing

Advanced Research Computing (ARC) logo

Advanced Research Computing (ARC) is the new name for the Oxford Supercomputing Centre.

ARC is a resource of high-performance computers that are free at the point of use for University researchers of any discipline.

Data processing that might take months on a desktop can often be completed in days because of the facility to run applications across multiple processors at the same time.

Any researcher with a reasonable standard of computing knowledge can use the facilities. There is free training to help you get started and help is on hand from the ARC team who can assist with technical issues as well as helping you frame your research question to make best use of the computers.

Further information is available at www.arc.ox.ac.uk or by emailing theteam@arc.ox.ac.uk.
