Open access at Oxford
27 Mar 13
From 1 April researchers funded by RCUK funding councils are required to make their research papers open access.
This is either via free unrestricted access to the final version on the publisher’s website or by deposit of the manuscript (after peer review) in an open access repository within 6 months (or 12 months for AHRC and ESRC).
Guidance on how to make your publications open access, together with information about the University’s position and its response to RCUK’s open access policy as set down by the Research Committee, is available on the Open Access Oxford website. You can also follow @oaoxford on Twitter to keep up with the latest news on open access.
Briefings on open access publishing and Oxford’s position on open access will be running in Trinity term. The briefing sessions are aimed at researchers, research support staff, administrators and librarians, and will take place on:
• Wednesday 10 April, 09:30-10:30 at the Taylor Institution, Room 3
• Wednesday 17 April, 11:00-12:00 at the Radcliffe Science Library
Book your place via the IT courses website.
