BME staff support network
06 Sep 13
A support network for BME staff is being set up at the University.
The aim of the network is to provide a safe and confidential space for staff to discuss issues that affect them, to act as a critical friend to the University on promoting race equality, and to offer advice to the University on closing the recruitment, retention and progression gap of BME staff.
In order to discuss the aims and objectives of the network, a focus group is being held, to which all interested staff are invited, on Friday 20 September, from 1-2pm, in Seminar Room 2B, George Pickering Education Centre (Post-Grad Centre), Level 3, John Radcliffe Hospital.
The focus group is being run by Shakina Chinedu, newly appointed Equality Advisor for Race, Religion & Belief in the Equality & Diversity Unit.
Further information about the network is available in the document on the right-hand side of this webpage. If you have any questions, please email shakina.chinedu@admin.ox.ac.uk or phone 01865 (2)89936.
