Draft University IT Strategic Plan 2019–2024

In response to the new University Strategic Plan 2018-2023, work has been underway to develop a new University IT Strategic Plan 2019-2024 (UIT). IT Services has facilitated a process of user engagement with representatives from across the University and now a draft version of the UIT is available for wider consultation.

How do I take part?
All members of the University, staff and students, are invited to review and provide feedback on the draft plan through an online discussion forum. The forum contains the consultation version of the UIT, a visualisation of how it relates to the University’s Strategic Plan, and a discussion area for you to provide feedback. To access the discussion forum please follow the link below using your Single Sign-On credentials: https://sharepoint.nexus.ox.ac.uk/sites/discussion/uit/SitePages/Home.aspx

Closing date
The forum will remain open until 29 March 2019. We welcome any comments you may have and the discussion forum outlines some key questions to consider.

Scope
It is important to note that the Plan is for the University, not just central IT Services. Many (but not all) of the priorities should help Departments, Divisions, and other units to direct their internal strategies. It does not attempt to capture the priorities of the colleges, but it does recognise their importance as partners in delivering the plan.

Next steps
Following this round of consultation the draft Plan will be updated and submitted to Council for consideration and sign-off in Trinity term. Once that has happened a costed and measurable implementation plan will be completed.
