Oxford’s Professor Karma Nabulsi, Department of Politics and International Relations (DPIR), Fellow and Tutor in Politics at St Edmund Hall and Library Fellow, is one of just five candidates shortlisted for the higher education’s most inspiring leader 2017 award, run by the Guardian newspaper.
Karma lectures on social movements and philosophies of war and peace to undergraduates and graduates at the University, and is currently Director of Undergraduate Studies at the DPIR. She is also an Oxford UCU equalities officer and a member of the BME staff network.
The shortlist for the award, now in its fifth year, was drawn up by the Guardian’s judging panel – but the winner is to be chosen by their readers.
Voting (involving one simple click) closes on Sunday 12 March at midnight, with the winner announced at a ceremony in London on 29 March.
