Informing Decision-Makers: Oxford in Westminster
"A vehicle to showcase examples of Oxford research that may be of interest to parliamentarians."
This four-page publication is sent to most MPs and peers once a term. Its intention to is alert parliamentarians, in a quick and easy-to-read format, about developments at Oxford and issues of concern to the collegiate University, its academics and students.
Each issue tends to have a central theme: for example, previous editions have focused on issues such as undergraduate access and admissions; postgraduate education and funding; technology transfer and spinouts; and the work of each one of the divisions, most recently Social Sciences and Humanities. The publication has a column from the Vice-Chancellor, a focus on a particular Oxford academic, and the view from the President of Oxford University Students' Union. It also provides a vehicle to showcase examples of Oxford research that may be of interest to parliamentarians.
