Professor Jenny Taylor

Programme Director, Genomic Medicine Theme; Fellow of St Edmund Hall

About

Professor Taylor directs the Oxford Biomedical Research Centre Genetics Theme, which aims to bridge the gap between genetics research communities and doctors and healthcare professionals in the NHS. The Genetics Theme focuses on developing new technologies for the NHS, including methods for sequencing the human genome. Her group is also interested in new technologies that enable us to tell whether people have subtle changes to their DNA (mutations) or the amount present (copy number changes). Current research includes projects in heart disease, leukaemia, cancer, brain malformations and neurodegenerative conditions.
