The Vice-Chancellor, Dr John Hood, held a ‘question time’ for members of the local community yesterday. Guests included city councillors, county councillors, representatives of local bodies such as the Oxford Preservation Trust and even the chairman of Oxford United FC.
Dr Hood answered questions on the effect of the economic downturn on the University, the University’s plans for the Bodleian Library (including the book storage facility in Swindon), the University’s partnership with Oxford hospitals, and traditions like sub fusc and the May morning celebrations.
The session is available here to listen to in full.
