The Chancellor of Oxford University, the Rt Hon Lord Patten of Barnes, gave a wide-ranging speech to the Headmasters’ and Headmistresses’ Conference (HMC) yesterday.

The speech, entitled ‘What will be our educational legacy in the 21st Century?’, was given at the HMC’s annual conference in London on 30 September.

Lord Patten is Chancellor of both Oxford and Newcastle Universities.
