Oxford had a double celebration in early August: the millionth download from its iTunes U site and Marianne Talbot occupying the number 1 spot in the iTunes U chart with her "Romp through the history of philosophy".

Background

On 7 October 2008 the University of Oxford launched its podcast site on iTunes U. In the first week there were 168,000 visitors to the site and 60,000 downloads.

This free site features public lectures, teaching material, interviews with leading academics, information about applying to the University, and much more.
