IT for students

Your college and department both provide local IT support and services. However, many of the IT services used across all colleges and departments are provided by central IT Services.

IT Services provides a wide range of services to support the IT needs of the University. These include your email (the Nexus service), the University’s VLE (WebLearn), and the IT Help Centre. IT Services also runs the University’s telecoms service, the single sign-on service, the archiving and back-up service, the backbone high-speed network which connects each department and college, as well as podcasting and iTunes U. It also offers training courses in all aspects of computing.

> Guide to IT at Oxford

To learn more about the IT services available to you, please see the Guide to IT at Oxford, which provides information on your Oxford (Single Sign-On) Username, what to do if you are bringing your own computer, and the services available from IT Services.
