Staff providing IT services

If you are working within the field of ICT support at the University you may be interested in the following:

> ICT Central Coordination Project

This project aims to bring together the University's central ICT services  (currently provided by OUCS, the ICT Support Team and BSP) into one integrated central ICT organisation.

> IT Support Staff Services (ITS3)

ITS3 supports the University's distributed IT Support Staff through the provision of central resources and organisation.  ITS3 works with senior members of OUCS and other members of the University to ensure the interests of all University IT Support Staff are considered in any relevant decisions and discussions.

> ICT Forum

The ICT Forum (ICTF) was formed to communicate and promote the views and interests of IT Support Staff within the collegiate Unviersity.  Every member of IT support staff within the University is automatically a member of the ICT Forum (ICTF).

> Network Security and OxCERT

The University's Computer Emergency Response Team (OxCERT) is based within Oxford University Computing Services (OUCS). The OxCERT team identify compromised or potentially-compromised systems within the University network and take appropriate measures to prevent malicious network traffic from such systems.  They also liaise with University IT staff to ensure that security incidents are dealt with promptly and to ensure that compromised systems are fully cleaned and patched against known vulnerabilities before being reconnected to the network.
