Appointments

Appointment of additional Pro-Vice-Chancellor

Mr Vice-Chancellor has appointed Rebecca Surender, BA Essex, MSc DPhil Oxf, Associate Professor of Social Policy, as Pro-Vice-Chancellor (without portfolio) and Advocate for Diversity with effect from 1 February 2015. Professor Surender was admitted to office on 28 January.

Directorship of the Botanic Garden and Harcourt Arboretum

Simon John Hiscock, BA DPhil Oxf, Professor of Botany and Director, Botanic Garden, University of Bristol, has been appointed to the Directorship of the Botanic Garden and Harcourt Arboretum within Academic Services and University Collections with effect from 6 July 2015.

Conferments of Title

The Social Sciences Division has, on the recommendation of the Faculty of Law, conferred the title of Visiting Professor of Law on Judge Theodor Meron for three years from 1 October 2014.

The Social Sciences Division has, on the recommendation of the Faculty of Law, conferred the title of Visiting Professor of Law on Professor Wolf-Georg Ringe for three years from 1 October 2014.
