2 Encaenia

The Public Orator delivered the first part of the Oration in Commemoration of the Benefactors of the University according to the intention of the Right Honourable Nathaniel, Lord Crewe, Bishop of Durham. The Professor of Poetry delivered the second part.

¶ The texts of the speeches made by the Public Orator in introducing the recipients of Honorary Degrees at the Encaenia, and of the Creweian Oration delivered by the Public Orator and the Professor of Poetry, will be published as a supplement with the Gazette of 2 July and are available online at www.ox.ac.uk/gazette/encaenia.
