Research participants sought

Aged 65–80 and university educated? Participants needed for study on the effects of ageing on reading and memory. Participation involves computer-based reading task at Department of Experimental Psychology while your eye movements are monitored with a camera, and takes approximately 50 mins. Participants must have English as their first language, with no visual impairments (glasses/lenses absolutely fine) or reading difficulties (eg dyslexia). £5 travel expenses paid. Oxford University Newcomers' Club

The Oxford University Newcomers' Club at the University Club, 11 Mansfield Rd, OX1 3SZ, welcomes the wives, husbands or partners of visiting scholars, of graduate students and of newly appointed academic members of the University. We offer help, advice, information and the opportunity to meet others socially. Informal coffee mornings are held in the club every Wednesday 10.30–12 (excluding the Christmas vacation). Newcomers with children (0–4) meet every Fri in term 10.15–11.45. We have a large programme of events including tours of colleges, museums and other places of interest.
