Andrew Chamblin Memorial Lecture 2013

Professor Frank Close, OBE, University of Oxford, will present the 2013 Andrew Chamblin Memorial Lecture at Cambridge. The subject will be 'The infinity puzzle – from the Higgs Boson to the LHC.' Choir seeking singers

Do you sing tenor or bass? Jubilate! is a friendly, mixed-voice chamber choir, directed by Simon Whalley. Research participants sought

Over 60? Want to start exercising? Researchers at Oxford University are investigating the effect physical activity has on the brain. Participants will be given a free supervised exercise programme and undergo MRI brain scans. Healthy volunteers (18–59, right-handed) wanted for a study investigating the brain's response to exercise. Twelve-week study includes 6 weeks of visiting the Oxford Brookes gym 5 days a week, and 7 visits to John Radcliffe Hospital for brain scans and exercise tests. The Oxford Pregnancy Study is investigating how anxiety during pregnancy may affect mums and babies. We are currently recruiting women who are pregnant for the first time, are between 18 and 40 years old and speak English fluently. Participation in the study will take approximately 2 hours in total, and all participants will be reimbursed for time and travel expenses. Oxford University Newcomers' Club

The Oxford University Newcomers' Club at the University Club, 11 Mansfield Rd, OX1 3SZ, welcomes the wives, husbands or partners of visiting scholars, of graduate students and of newly appointed academic members of the University.
