Research participants sought

Are you a parent/carer of a young person, aged up to 25, who has harmed themselves?  University of Oxford researchers would like to hear about your experiences and use what you tell us to support other parents and carers and to improve health professionals’ understanding and support for young people who self-harm and their families. Experiences of multiple conditions. As part of a National Institute for Health Research project, we are looking to interview both patients and GPs about their experiences of managing multiple conditions, and to seek their thoughts on what might help them to manage these conditions better. We are interested in speaking to patients with at least 2 of the following conditions: asthma, COPD, stroke, epilepsy, heart disease and diabetes. We would also like to speak to GPs about the issues they face with patients with these conditions, and what they feel could be changed to improve clinical management. Oxford University Newcomers' Club

The Oxford University Newcomers' Club at the University Club, 11 Mansfield Rd, OX1 3SZ, welcomes the wives, husbands or partners of visiting scholars, of graduate students and of newly appointed academic members of the University. We offer help, advice, information and the opportunity to meet others socially. Informal coffee mornings are held in the club every Wednesday 10.30–12 (excluding the Christmas vacation).
