Research participants sought

Psychology Experiment: Rituals Study. Researchers at the Centre for Anthropology and Mind are looking for volunteers to participate in a 2-part study on ritual participation. This experiment, run in collaboration with the Department of Psychology, Royal Holloway, aims to examine the meaning of a recently documented ritual, and also the psychological processes involved in ritual participation more generally. The experiment will run over 2 sessions, each lasting 25–40 minutes, involving performing a ritual, filling out questionnaires and participating in a resource allocation task. Have you suffered from depression in the past? Researchers at the Department of Psychiatry are conducting a study on how a new drug treatment affects memory, concentration, ability to learn and how we think. We would like to hear from you if you have suffered from depression and are now feeling better, are aged 25–55, right-handed, a non- or light smoker (less than 5 cigarettes/day) and able to attend 7 visits over 9 weeks. Oxford University Newcomers' Club

The Oxford University Newcomers' Club at the University Club, 11 Mansfield Rd, OX1 3SZ, welcomes the wives, husbands or partners of visiting scholars, of graduate students and of newly appointed academic members of the University.
