Paul Goffin, BSc MSc, FRICS, Director of Estates at the University of Leicester, has been appointed to the Directorship of the Estates Directorate with effect from 5 March 2012.
Medical Sciences
Iveagh Professorship of Microbial Biochemistry
Colin Kleanthous, BSc PhD Leic, Professor of Biochemistry, Department of Biology, York, has been appointed to the Iveagh Professorship of Microbial Biochemistry in the Department of Biochemistry with effect from 16 April 2012.
Professor Kleanthous will be a fellow of Linacre.

The Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Divisional Board has conferred the title of Visiting Professor in Computational Biology upon Professor Peter Kohl, MD PhD, Chair in Cardiac Biophysics and Systems Biology, National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial, for a period of three years from 1 November 2011.
The Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Divisional Board has reconferred the title of Visiting Professor in Economic Geology upon Laurence J Robb, BSc MSc PhD Witwatersrand, for a period of three years from 1 December 2011.
The Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Divisional Board has conferred the title of Visiting Professor in Computational Systems Biology upon Jonathan Swinton, MA Camb, PhD Imp Lond, Team Leader – Computational Biology, AstraZeneca, for a period of three years from 1 November 2011.
The Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Divisional Board has reconferred the title of Visiting Professor in Physics upon Keiichi Torimitsu, PhD Keio, Chief Research Scientist, NTT Basic Research Laboratories, and Vice President, Japan Nanomedical Society, for a period of three years from 1 January 2012.
