I'm looking for participants with dyslexia to take part in a short research study. It consists of taking a high dose of omega-3 supplements for 28 days. The purpose of the study is to compare the effects of an omega-3 supplemented diet compared to a normal diet on a series of computer and paper-based tests, which take no longer than 2 hours in total (1 hour at the start of the month, 1 hour at the end). There is evidence to suggest that omega-3 is deficient in people with dyslexia, and there is emerging evidence that supplementing with omega-3 can help to improve deficits in dyslexia. You will be reimbursed for your time (around £10). For more information please email me at email@example.com.
Collaborative learning in young people; we are currently recruiting participants for a study of how young people may learn from one another. To participate, your child must be male, 10–12 or 14–16 years old, and able to find a friend (from the same age group) who can come along to the Department of Experimental Psychology. The task is simple but fun; and both children will be reimbursed (£20 each). Please visit http://redd.psy.ox.ac.uk for further information.
