Consultative notices
The Helene T A M La Rue Scholarship Fund
On 13 February, Council approved the broadening of the objects of the above-named Scholarship by the passing of a resolution for the purposes of section 74C of the Charities Act 1993 (the "Act"). The approval of Council and the resolution passed for the purposes of the Act shall be effective 15 days after the date of publication of this notice unless written notice of a resolution, signed by at least twenty members of Congregation and calling upon Council to withhold such approval and such resolution, has been given to the Registrar by noon on 12 March.
The effect of the amendment is to broaden the number of students eligible for such Scholarships from those junior members of St Cross whose academic research concerns the musical collections of the University, to those junior members of St Cross studying Music, with a preference being given to those whose academic research concerns the musical collections of the University.
