Cheryl and Reece Scott Professorship of Psychiatry
Charles R J C Newton, MB ChB MD Cape Town, Professor in Tropical Neurosciences and Paediatrics, Institute of Child Health, UCL; Wellcome Trust Senior Clinical Fellow, Wellcome Trust/Kenya Medical Research Institute Collaborative Programme, Centre for Geographical Medicine, Kilifi, Kenya; Consultant Paediatric Neurologist, Great Ormond Street Hospital; Honorary Professor of Tropical Medicine, Clinical Research Unit, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine; Honorary Professor, Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences, Tanzania; and Visiting Professor, Nuffield Department of Clinical Medicine, has been appointed to the Cheryl and Reece Scott Professorship of Psychiatry in the Department of Psychiatry with effect from 1 October 2011.
Professor Newton will be a fellow of St John's.
Norman Collisson Professorship of Musculoskeletal Sciences
Peter Charles Taylor, BM BCh Oxf, MA Camb, PhD Lond, Professor of Experimental Rheumatology and Honorary Consultant Physician, Head of Clinical Trials, Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology Division, Faculty of Medicine, Imperial College London, Lead Clinician Rheumatologist and Campus Dean has been appointed to the Norman Collisson Professorship of Musculoskeletal Sciences in the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences with effect from 1 October 2011.
Professor Taylor will be a fellow of St Peter's.

University Lecturer: Cognitive Psychology
Kathryn Emma Watkins, BA Camb, MSc PhD Lond, MA Oxf, Fellow and Tutor in Psychology, St Anne's, and University Lecturer in Cognitive Psychology, has been reappointed until the retiring age with effect from 1 October 2011.

Humanities
The Humanities Board has re-conferred the title of Visiting Professor on Professor James Higginbotham, BS PhD Columbia, MA Oxf, Distinguished Professor of Philosophy and Linguistics at the University of Southern California, for Trinity term 2012 and Trinity term 2013.
Medical Sciences
The Medical Sciences Board has conferred the title of Visiting Professor in Rheumatology on Sir Ravinder Maini, BA MB BChir DSc Glas, FRS, FRCP, FRCP(E), FMedSci, for a period of three years from 1 September 2011.
Social Sciences
On the recommendation of the Faculty of Law, the Social Sciences Division has conferred on Gabriel Moss, QC, BA BCL Oxf, the title of Visiting Professor in Corporate Insolvency Law for three years from 1 October 2011.
