Mansfield College

Appointment of Alumni Relations Officer

Mansfield College is seeking to recruit a full-time Alumni Relations Officer to take responsibility for its alumni relations programme. Key responsibilities will include stewardship, event management, communications (including the design and production of the annual college magazine), database and Web site.

The successful candidate will report to the Development Director in a small team of three, and needs to be able to work unsupervised, and be accomplished at managing multiple projects at one time. The role does require flexibility as the successful candidate will be required to attend weekend/evening events.

Applicants should be 'team players' with excellent interpersonal skills, creativity, and drive. Educated to degree level with strong organisational and IT skills the person appointed will ideally have previous experience in marketing or event management.

The salary will be in the range £22,879–£27,319, depending on experience. Benefits include free lunch in college, final salary pension scheme, and thirty-eight days' holiday (including bank holidays).

Appointment of part-time Alumni Relations and Development Assistant

Mansfield College is seeking to recruit a part-time (twenty hours a week) Alumni Relations and Development Assistant, on a six-month contract with possibility of renewal. Key responsibilities will include administrative support for the Development Director, database updates and reports, gift administration, research, event administration and attendance, Web site and other ad hoc tasks.

Reporting into the Development Director and also supporting the alumni relations manager, this is a varied role in a small team of three. The role does require flexibility as the successful candidate may be required to attend weekend/evening events.

Applicants should have good interpersonal skills and excellent attention to detail. Educated to A level standard (or equivalent), with strong administrative and IT skills, the successful applicant will have at least one year's experience in a similar role.

The salary will be in the range £17,111–£19,743, pro rata, depending on experience. Benefits include free lunch in college and thirty days' holiday (pro rata) plus bank holidays.
